I put the first coat of spar urethane on the stained cooler box last night and I am very happy with the results. 2 more coats to go!

Staining an ice chest cooler box

I am building a stained ice chest cooler box for a customer. I had some min wax walnut stain that was a little darker than I wanted so I watered it down with some mineral spirits and made the color that I was looking for.
